The Golden State Warriors were doing a special broadcast called the “Run TMC Takeover” during the Warriors game against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, but former Warriors guard Tim Hardaway’s comments seemed to have sullied any positivity.
Hardaway’s comments during the NBC Sports Bay Area broadcast came in the second quarter when he was discussing a block by Warriors forward Draymond Green.
“So y’all thought that was great D? I thought that was just raping him” Hardaway said (h/t New York Post). I think they should call the police on that.”
Hardaway was joined on the broadcast by hi former teammates Chris Mullin and Mitch Richmond, who did not acknowledge Hardaway’s comments.
Hardaway later issued an apology.
