Arsenal vs Wolves – Premier League Match Preview

Wolves

Sunday brings yet another fiery fixture in the Premier League, Arsenal vs Wolves, yet another clash of teams around the top half and middle of the table.

Arsenal will look to continue their unbeaten run of 15 games following on from their 0-0 draw with Sporting Lisbon on Thursday. Lacazette and Aubameyang have continued their fine form with Lacazette adding to his tally with a clinical curling strike against Liverpool last weekend, taking his total up to 6 in all competitions for the season, having also registered 4 assists.

Arsenal will unfortunately be without Striker Danny Welbeck, who has been prolific in the Europa League and Carabao Cup this season, and able to make a serious impact off the bench, after he suffered a horror injury against Sporting Lisbon. The return of Sokratis will also be a boost for Arsenal as the former Dortmund man was rock solid in the centre of the defence before his injury, and a chance for Emery to possibly test the partnership of him and young Rob Holding will surely be of excitement to Arsenal fans.

Wolves lost their way after fine start

Wolves come into the game off the back of some rather poor form, having lost 3 in a row in the Premier League, against Watford, Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur. They will take some relief in the fact they majorly tested Spurs however, only narrowly losing out 2-3.

Wolves will be hoping they can get all their danger men firing on all cylinders if they are going to cause an upset at the Emirates, with Arsenal only conceding 5 goals at home this season in the premier league so far. Players such as Ruben Neves, Adama Traore, Moutinho and Jota are all more than capable of making a big impact however, so Arsenal will have to be on their toes for the full 90 minutes if they will come away with the three points.

This game is set to be a good one, and Arsenal, I feel, will be confident, but there is never an excuse to write Wolves off.

Match Prediction: 3-1 Arsenal
