Manchester United defender Luke Shaw claims that “spirit remains good in the dressing room” despite a 3-0 loss to Tottenham last night at Old Trafford.
The Englishmen was quick to apologise to the club’s fans for Monday’s 3-0 defeat to Tottenham. Shaw is adamant, however, that United will swiftly return to winning ways.
The defeat to Spurs was Manchester United’s second in succession. It’s the first time since 1992 that they have lost two of their opening three matches in the Premier League.
Manager Jose Mourinho heavily praised his team last night, however, has been very critical of some players in the past; including Luke Shaw. This has led to the speculation that not all is well in the United dressing room.
Luke Shaw told MUTV after the game: “You see a lot of things in the media that go on about what our dressing room is like, but we have a really good spirit, a really good group of lads, who want to work and achieve big things here.”
”We have a group of hard workers and amazing talents, everywhere you look on the field.”
”We have got to start taking our chances and I am sure we will start winning games.”
Jose Mourinho was applauded by the United fans at the end of the match and Shaw says the players are determined to reward the supporters for their loyalty.
Luke Shaw has arguably been one of United’s best players so far this season. He will be hoping to continue his great form next weekend against Burnley.
