Steven N’Zonzi is Tottenham Transfer Target
Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and now West Ham are all in the race to sign Steven N’Zonzi.
The French international is currently being headhunted by 3 premiership clubs, but who knows what he wants to do?
According to reports in Spain, the former Blackburn and Stoke man has been strongly linked with a return to England. Accordingly N’Zonzi told Spanish side Sevilla of his desire to leave as soon as the World Cup finishes.
The 29-year-old has been at club Sevilla since his transfer from Stoke in 2015. To date Steven N’Zonzi has appeared up to 90 times in La Liga.
N’Zonzi has most likely already played his last game for Sevilla. His father has made it clear to the club that his son is ready and available to move on.
N’Zonzi is currently tied in with a contract until 2020 and has a £35million release clause, but Spurs are looking for depth and extra strength in their squad to push them to the next level.
Mauricio Pochettino is familiar with the French man from his former premiership days and will look to bolster his squad for the forthcoming season. The Frenchman has a much better chance to end his career at the top of his game with an ambitious and pushing club. Pochettino for the win!
Competition for Steven’s signature will be tough though and his price tag may see off lesser competitors. His ex-Sevilla manager, now Gunners boss Unai Emery, appears hopeful that he can reunite with his old player. If Steve wants to stagnate this would be the right choice .
Meanwhile the Hammers joined the race and appear really hot for the Frenchman. West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini could make a move but nothing is confirmed yet.
