Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has agreed to sign for AC Milan.
Morata signed for Chelsea last summer despite rumours they were going to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton. Lukaku went on to sign for Manchester United which sparked the Blues’ interest in the Spaniard.
Lukaku went on to have a storming season in the red of Manchester United. Morata on the other hand, scored just 11 times for Chelsea.
The former Real Madrid striker is now ready to leave Stamford Bridge and has reportedly agreed to join Italian giants AC Milan.
Chelsea are looking to recoup a large part of the £58 million they spent on Morata last season, with Gonzalo Higuain possibly coming in from Juventus as a direct replacement.
Former Milan defender Luca Antonini believes this deal is suitable for both Morata and Milan.
“I think Morata and Milan have already chosen each other.
“As far as I am concerned, I see the Spaniard as more suitable for Milan than a player like Karim Benzema.”
