Group F produced one of the biggest upsets in the World Cup so far with Mexico beating the holders in the opening round of fixtures.
A single goal from Hirving Lozano was enough to seal the famous win and has left the Germans in a spot of bother. They currently sit third in their group after Sweden beat Korea Republic in the other group F match.
The 2014 winners will be looking to up the tempo after a rather sluggish performance that produced a number of defensive errors. Credit goes to the Mexicans however who defended resiliently.
Joachim Low’s team need to get Thomas Muller into the match more if they are to take chances. The decision to leave out someone of Leroy Sane’s quality is absurd. This compiled the fact that they looked short of pace and creativity.
A defeat tomorrow could spell the end for the 2014 winners, as well as the managers position for Low.
Germany of course have quality throughout their team and I expect them to perform efficiently and get the job done.
Prediction: Germany 1-0 Sweden
